We will be in FL 7 days and 8 nights. When purchasing our tickets should I buy 4 days and add the water parks or 7 days and add the water park. Not sure if I buy the 4 days if we can use the water park on days 5, 6 and 7. Or they expire after the 4 days

When you buy WDW tickets, you have up to 14 days to use all of the admissions on the ticket - both regular theme park admissions and Water Park Fun and More admissions. Adding the Water Park Fun & More option to a four-day park ticket, will give you four admissions to either Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, or Disney Quest. If you would like to visit the theme parks for four days and the water parks for three days, then you'd be fine with a four-day base or Park Hopper ticket with the water park add-on.

However, I should caution you that you might be want to do a bit more than just the water parks on some of those three days. My family are BIG water park fans, we make sure to enjoy them on every trip to WDW. But we often find that about four or five hours is plenty of time to spend in the sun on the slides. We like to follow-up a morning at the water parks with an evening dinner or fireworks viewing at a theme park. You should consider whether just a trip to a water park will be enough to fill an entire day.
