35 Days to go! I LOVE THIS PANEL! Staying @ Contemporary me, DS 5 & my mom 4 nights, then 1 night @ POR. 9th trip but 1st time at each resort. My little pirate LOVES pools. How much time @ the pools versus park time? How are the pools? Boat to DT

    Hi Amanda!

It sounds like you have a fabulous three generation trip coming up next month! If your little guy enjoys spending time at the pool, I think he’ll love Ol’ Man Island at Disney’s Port Orleans  Resort - Riverside. With a waterside, daily pool party and even an evening poolside movie, it’s a great place to relax and spend time together. You'll find similar amenities at Disney's Contemporary Resort, but I think little Mouseketeers will enjoy the theme at Ol' Man Island the best.

Since you are frequent Walt Disney World Visitors, I would recommend planning some good pool time into your itinerary. I would be to pick a day and plan to be at a theme park for rope drop in the morning. With an early morning arrival and FastPass+ selections booked in advance, you should be able to experience quite a few of your park favorites by lunchtime. Then plan to spend the rest of the day simply enjoying the pool. Your son can swim, slide and party with the other kids all afternoon! After a dinner break at your resort, you can return to enjoy the evening campfire and poolside movie. If he is a big fan of pirates, you should might also be interested in sending him on a Pirate Adventure Cruise, or maybe as a super special treat, you could all enjoy the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage!

From Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, you can take a boat to Downtown Disney, and from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, boats are available to Magic Kingdom.Taking Disney boats is another attraction for our family, so I bet your little guy would enjoy them as well.

I hope this helps! Please let me know what other questions we can help you with.

    Happy Planning!
