25 more days to go! I am looking for suggestions for evening activties for families. Our family tends to more night owls rather than early birds. On days when there is no Evening Extra Magic Hours...what do you suggest? Our children are 5, 3 and 1.

My family is full of night owls too and often you can find us still strolling the Disney pathways past Cinderella's bedtime. One of the great things about Disney World is that there is so many things to do outside of the four parks..

The Downtown Disney Marketplace, usually open until eleven pm, is a flurry of activity as the sun goes down. Here you can find great restaraunts and shopping like the Lego store with a kid's play area and the new T-Rex restaraunt featuring Build-A-Dino (think Build a Bear but with dinos).  Down the path from the Marketplace, you will find Disney's Pleasure Island and Westside. Disney's Westside is home to Disney Quest, an interactive video game heaven, a large movie theater showing the current releases and the Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba. If shopping is not your thing, how about some miniature golf?

There are two mini golf courses at WDW. The Winter/Summerland course can be found near Blizzard Beach and Fantasia Gardens, across from the Swan resort. Both locations feature two unique courses for hours of golfing fun. After eighteen holes at Fantasia Gardens, why not stroll over to the Epcot resorts. The Boardwalk is a fantastic place to be at night. Here you will find  fun shops and restaraunts and free side shows, like magicians and jugglers, who love to keep all ages entertained.

Don't want to venture from your resort? Don't forget most pools at the WDW resorts are open late and are a great place to unwind from the day. For further information on these activities and much more visit Rest assured, you will find plenty to keep your night owls going all evening.
