14 days girls trip to WLV- past stays we toured of the resorts. I have searched the fact sheet, web site etc. Any info would be great! Also flag ceremony/ retreat-NO luck searching. I am DVC staying on friends points-sliders not included with wrist bands?

    Hi Denise!

It sounds like you have fabulous girls' getaway planned. I truly love The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. With it’s soaring lobby, rustic charm and proximity to the Magic Kingdom, I think it is a great choice for your ladies' escape!

Getting to be the Flag Family is one of those extra magical experiences that you find throughout Walt Disney World. What truly goes into be selected to be the Flag Family is one of life’s great mysteries, along with how to be the Family of the Day at the Magic Kingdom (totally on my bucket list). If you and your friends would enjoy being part of the flag ceremony, I would kindly and politely mention your interest to the Cast Member at check-in. This is a very popular experience, but you never know if the pixie dust might land on you, so it never hurts to ask!

If you relish relaxing days enjoying the amenities of Walt Disney World Resorts, you should consider venturing over to Disney’s Fort Wilderness, just a short boat ride away. There you can find archery lessons, horseback riding, boat rentals, fishing and more. Check out the resort’s recreation page for plenty of details.

I'm sorry to say the Disney Vacation Club Member sliders have been discontinued. As soon as I heard the news, I went on a search through our vacation bags to make sure I found all our old ones! You may want to check out the Magic Band accessories available for purchase though, as there are some really neat ways to personalize your Magic Bands. Most recently I purchased a Minnie Mouse watch face to add to my Magic Band, since I always end up looking at the band like it is a watch at least a few times an hour anyway!

I hope this helps to answer your questions, Denise. Wishing you a relaxing, fun and unforgettable vacation!
