dining with Minnie at Cape May

We are 180 days from our fall trip to WDW. I logged on at exactly 6am multiple days to get a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table and nothing is available at all. How is this possible? Everything I read says you can't try before that.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Allan!

Advanced dining reservations are a big part of planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, and sometimes it can feel a little tricky to get a hold of some of those more popular reservations, like Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park. I'm happy to walk you through the booking process, and how it's possible that there might not be a reservation available right away when your window opens.

If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can book dining reservations for your entire stay, up to 10 days, beginning at 180 before your arrival date. That means that a family arriving the week before you may have a booking window that includes some of the days of your vacation as well, which explains why some more popular restaurants may not have any times available in the first few days of your trip. Here's a tip: when I'm trying to snag a popular dining reservation, like Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot, I try to book it as close to the end of my vacation as possible because fewer guests have had the opportunity to make reservations on those days.

If you're still on the lookout for a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table, I would recommend that you keep trying and don't give up. 180 days is a long time for guests to change their minds and their plans, and I've seen reservations for popular restaurants pop up on My Disney Experience in the weeks and months leading up to my arrival date, so keep your fingers crossed and keep checking that app!

    Have a magical day, Allan!
