We are 8 days away from our first Disney vacation and so very excited! My daughter is 4 years old and just shy of 44 inches. Will they let her ride the rides with a height requirement of 44 inches?

Hi, Tammy!  I'd be very excited too if I was just eight days away from being at Walt Disney World!  I hope the vacation is everything you're hoping for!

For safety reasons, you'll find they are pretty diligent about making sure that children meet the height requirements for any of the rides that have a height restriction.  In some cases, they check at the start of the line, then do a double check before you actually get on the attraction.  This obviously isn't meant to put a damper on anyone's vacation, but it's better to be safe than to spend your vacation nursing an injury!

There is still plenty of fun to be had at Walt Disney World for the under 44 inches crowd!  You won't have a minute of worry about what you can't do when you see all that there is to do!  And if there are things you would like to ride that your daughter can't, you'll find many attractions offer a child swap option.  You and another adult wait in line once, and while one rides, the other stays with your princess, then you can switch off without having to go through the whole queue again.

    Have an absolutely magical vacation!
