10-day trip. Is it wise to stay at a moderate resort for 5 days since you have to take a bus to DD, AK, and HS anyway , and then finish off your stay at a deluxe where Epcot and MK are and use the mono, I'll be w/ a 1 and 4 yr and found the mono abig +?

    Absolutely!

My family has resort-hopped (stayed at more than one resort) on many trips to WDW.

We resort hop for convenience to certain parks, for saving money and to enjoy different resort amenities.

The one exception to this convenience is when booking a package. With room only reservations, it's easy to book at two different resorts. Trying to purchase two packages becomes pricier than staying at one resort for the length of the package. Just be sure to price out your options!
