We have a 3-day Park Hopper pass to Disneyland and CA Adventures, as well as a Disney VISA card. My son will be turning 18 while we are there. We've done a character breakfast before. Do you have any recommendations for a special teen celebration?

    Hello Dixie!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week! My oldest is turning 17 right before we head to Disneyland Resort this summer and I have a few fun things planned for him.

First, stop by City Hall to pick up a complimentary birthday button. Cast Members throughout the day will wave, say hi or wish him Happy Birthday as he enjoys the parks. Such a small thing, but it makes my kids beam with pride.

Since you have the Disney Visa by Chase, did you know they now offer an amazing Star Wars™ Meet ‘N’ Greet? It is offered daily from 4pm to 8pm at a private Cardmember location inside Disneyland Park at the Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland. You’ll receive downloads of your photos to mark your visit to the dark side! Simply present your Disney Visa Credit Card to enter this exclusive location.

Another thing my son loves is feeling very grown up, but still get to act like a kid, so we often will do the World of Color Dining Package at Wine Country Trattoria in Disney California Adventure Park and then have preferred seating for the World of Color! He loves to have an fancy dinner and feel like an adult but then, at the same time likes to get to the show early to “be close enough for the water to hit him” while my other boys prefer to stand a bit further back.

We did this for his 15th birthday a couple of years ago and he’s requesting almost the exact same itinerary for this upcoming trip! I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
