We have (2) 8 day hopper passes from years ago. Spoke with WDW specialist & they are valid. Has anyone been able to split the ticket up between the family? We will only be there for 4 days. She said to check when we arrive & see what they could do

    Greetings Kimberly,

I'm always excited to see fellow residents of the Garden State post questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by!

I'm so pleased to hear that your theme park tickets with the park hopper option from years ago are valid. That's great! I would follow the ticket agent's advice and ask at Guest Relations when you arrive on Walt Disney World Resort property if they would be willing to split your two 8-day passes into four 4-day passes. I am going to be honest with you, though. I highly doubt they will approve this transaction. Multi-day passes are significantly discounted when they include more than four or five days. Sixth, seventh and eighth days on passes cost very little compared to the first, second and third days. Therefore, four 4-days passes cost a great deal more than two 8-day passes. Does that make sense? I'll keep my fingers crossed that your request is met with an affirmative response, but I would keep in mind that you may need to purchase passes for two members of your travel party.

Is there any chance that the 8-day passes you have were purchased with the No Expiration Option? If so, you could use four days of your ticket this trip and save the other four days for a subsequent trip. Although the No Expiration Option is no longer available to purchase on theme park tickets today, Walt Disney World Resort still honors multi-day passes that were purchased years ago with this option.

Of course, you could save your 8-day park hopper passes for a future trip when you have time to stay longer. That's an option too. If you purchase four 4-day theme park tickets now, you could link them to the members of your travel party in your My Disney Experience account and make FastPass+ reservations 60 days prior to your arrival.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
