Going on 3 day Disney Dream cruise w/ a 2 year old and 9 month old and flying into Orlando, do I bring my huge, heavy, reliable double stroller, do a double umbrella stroller, OR do 2 single umbrella stollers with a clip? Would sidebyside fit thru doors?

    Hi, Jen!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Dream -- she's a big and beautiful ship, and you and yours will think you're living a dream when you sail!

I just sailed on the Disney Dream last week, and I don't remember seeing any strollers bigger than a regular single stroller. There were plenty of guests there with several small children. Yet, I think some of the passageways just aren't big enough to accommodate a side-by-side double stroller.

If there is more than one adult in your traveling party, my recommendation is to bring two umbrella strollers which you can easily collapse and store. Plus, you'll have the option of leaving one stroller in your stateroom on occasion. You can take turns placing the 2-year-old or the baby in it, and either carrying the other one or letting the 2-year-old walk. Although the ship is big, I don't think it warrants having a stroller for the 2-year-old always.

I think where you may need two strollers is when you're leaving the ship at the ports...especially walking to and from the beaches of Castaway Cay. Bringing a clip along will give you the flexibility of hooking them together at port and separating them on board.

An additional option would be to bring one stroller to see how it will work with the two little ones and renting one on board if you see you need a second one.  I hope this helps you plan.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
