We're going on a 3 day Disney cruise. I have not booked any hours for childcare for our 2 year old, but would like to during the nightly shows. What time frame do you suggest we book? We hopefully have the main seating for dinner.

Welcome aboard, Rachelle! Disney Cruise Line's Broadway-style shows are one of my family's favorite parts of sailing with Captain Mickey.

Your two year-old would probably love watching his or her favorite Disney friends dancing and singing up on stage. There will be plenty of little ones in the audience to enjoy these nightly shows, so don't feel like you'll be the only one with a young cruiser at the shows. They were made for the whole family! In fact, if you arrive early for the Red Carpet Arrivals before The Golden Mickeys, your family could even get interviewed on the red carpet outside the theatre, which is shown live on the big screen in the theatre. My kids have done this a few times and get a kick out of being such celebrities!

However, if you do feel like you'd prefer to leave your little one in the nursery to play with the fabulous counselors while you enjoy a night out at the shows, you can certainly pre-book some nursery hours at It's A Small World Nursery. Those guests who dine during Main Dining at 5:45 p.m. will be able to attend the second show in the theatre, which begins at 8:30 p.m. Those who have later dining at 8:15 p.m. can attend the first show in the Walt Disney Theatre which begins at 6:15. You will want to arrive a bit early to get the best seats, so perhaps give yourself a half hour on each end of the show when you book the nursery time, to ensure you're not rushing.  The shows are about an hour long.

Have a wonderful cruise, Rachelle, and enjoy every one of the fabulous shows onboard the Disney Dream!
