Hi! You said the other day that you can't use ME if you stay near the airport your first night and want to get the Express at the airport the next day. I'm planning to do just that, and my Disney TA said there was no problem. Now I'm getting worried...

Hi, Kathleen!  This was not an easy answer to track down, but I wanted to make sure I got the best information I could, so I spent this afternoon making a whole bunch of phone calls!

I spoke with a Magical Express supervisor today who advised that you can indeed leave the airport and return to use the Magical Express shuttle on a different day.  These are, however, the things that she cautioned me about, so I want to relay them to you:

You MUST have a Walt Disney World resort reservation indicating that the check in date is the same date you will be using the Magical Express service.  You would be unable to use the shuttle if your check in date differs from the date you want to use the shuttle.

Do NOT put any of the Magical Express baggage tags or stickers on your luggage.  Bags with the Magical Express luggage tags will be collected and you won't be able to access them until you arrive at your resort.  You also may run into some confusion with the resort if your luggage arrives a day earlier than you do!

Please remember to claim your bags yourself from the baggage claim area on the day you arrive.  Magical Express will not collect the luggage, so you'll want to make sure you head to baggage claim before heading to your destination.

When you arrive the day you are to check in at Walt Disney World, head right to the guest services counter for Magical Express at the airport.  They will further assist you in getting on a shuttle and on your way to your magical vacation!

I apologize for the confusion in my original answer!  I hope this takes the worry away!
