I am my daughters legal guardian, but she has a different last name. Do I need to bring any letters or documents to prove this, she can come on the boat?

    Ahoy, Erin!

May is one of my favorite times to set sail on a Disney Cruise vacation, so I know you and your daughter are going to have a magical time on your vacation with Captain Mickey. One of the great things about a Disney Cruise is there is something for everyone. The two of you can enjoy many activities together including the Broadway-style shows, first-run movies, family game shows, a delicious soft serve ice cream cone and a dip in the pool. If you want some time apart, the youth programming for kids ages 3-17 is fabulous. My kids love checking in for hours of fun, and the counselors are there to make sure everyone is safe and having a good time. How about some time for yourself at the Quiet Cove Pool, the adult-only pool or a spa treatment at the Senses Spa? The options and magic are endless, Erin!

As for documentation, you do not need to bring proof of guardianship if you are the legal guardian. The only time a child needs a Minor Authorization Form is when he/she is NOT traveling with one of his/her parents or guardian. For your Bahamian sailing, you will need to bring along your valid passports or government issued birth certificates (original or certified copies) along with the signed Signature Form from the Cruise Contract for check-in. You will be able to print off the Signature Form when you complete your Online Check-In.

Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Please let us know if we can assist you further with your plans.

    Have a magical day!
