My daughters 5th B-day is August 20th. This will be our first trip to Disney World, would it be better to go in Early July or on her actual B-day. Also what is a nice, not too expensive hotel we could stay at?

Hello Amber - I can't think of anything more magical then to vacation at Disney on your daughter's actual birthday!  And in case you haven't heard, 2009 is the year of Disney celebrations.  Your daughter will be able to get in one park free - or, if you already have tickets, there are other options available to her. You can read about this fantastic promotion here.

Another benefit to vacationing in late August is the crowds tend to thin out as families with school children head back to school.  You would also be eligible for the very popular free dining promotion if your check-in date is August 16th or later.

Disney has four value resorts you may want to consider.  All Star Movies, All Star SportsAll Star Music and my favorite value - Pop Century.  You may want to check out each resort to see if there is a specific theme that may be special to your daughter.

I hope this helps you decided on when to go...if you have another further questions, please let us know!  And I hope your daughter has the most magical birthday ever!  Diane  :)
