My daughter is 2yrs 9mo. and we're going to WDW for the 1st time Next week, Will she be able to enjoy The rides and attractions that are suggested for the older kids, if My husband and I accompany her... after all We don't want to miss out on anything! :)

    Kimberly,

It just depends.  Some rides are suggested merely as a way of warning parents that their children might be frightened on the ride.  The Haunted Mansion is a good example of this.  There is no height restriction so yes, in that regard your daughter will be able to ride with you.  However, the themeing is very good and some children are afraid, so keep that in mind when you're deciding if she should ride.

On other rides, there is a definite height requirement for safety reasons, so your daughter will have to meet the minimum height to be able to ride along.  Splash Mountain, for example, has a 40 inch height requirement.

That said, my own daughters are 1, 3, and 5 and they've been riding everything they could since they were infants.  We've never had any issues on The Haunted Mansion, and in fact the girls look forward to it every trip.  (It's one of my favorites rides too!)  In my opinion it's a very family friendly look at ghosts, done with humor and nothing gory.  At her age there's a good chance your daughter won't understand it enough to be afraid anyway.  But again, base this on your own knowledge of your child.  My girls do tend to be rather fearless.  If your daughter is more timid then you may want to skip this (or other) attractions.

If there's something that your daughter isn't tall enough to ride, or you feel she would be uncomfortable riding, don't forget about the Baby Swap option.  Just ask the cast member at the ride entrance and they will provide you with a pass that allows you and your husband to take turns riding with a minimal wait time.  This pass is a huge help to families with young kids!

    Have a fantastic vacation!
