My daughter and I will be in WDW Dec. 4-7th. A mother/daughter graduation trip. We have tickets for Mickey's Christmas on the same night as Fantasyland Opening. We want to experience both. Should we consider changing Mickey Christmas ?

Hi Steve! I am assuming you are talking about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which is located in the Magic Kingdom. Since the new Fantasyland is not open yet we are not sure what part if any stays open for the special event parties. Some attractions such as Tiki Birds, Jungle Cruise, and Treehouse are closed for the evening but most of the thrill rides stay open as well as some of the others.

IF Fantasyland stays open during MVMCP then you can certainly do both that evening although remember the lines will be horrendously long. They don't use Fast Passes for the event parties but they do limit the number of guests in the park so the lines are not usually real bad. The new restaurant, Be Our Guest, will not be open for dining during the late night parties and will only accept reservations from 4-5:30pm. IF you are lucky enough to snag one then take it, go in early with your party ticket, enjoy dinner in the new location, then party and enjoy the park for the rest of the evening!
