Hi -- My daughter and I are going to be at WDW for her 21st birthday. Although we are looking forward to experiencing the food and wine festival together, I would like to make special dinner reservations in Epcot. Where could she have the most fun?

    Hi Carla,

What an awesome way to celebrate! Since I'm a Disney foodie, I'm so excited about your question!

I've got three interesting options to consider:

#1 (The Entertaining Option): Biergarten Restaurant in the Germany pavilion.

What happens when you mix a liter of German beer with hearty German delicacies and a slathering of authentic German entertainers? You get a 21st birthday dinner that will pull in record numbers of likes and comments on your daughter's Facebook page.

#2 (The Elegant Option): Monsieur Paul in the France pavilion.

Wine can be harsh on a beginner's palate, but not if you're introduced to the good stuff from the get go. Get dressed to the nines and let the chefs at Monsieur Paul take you on a culinary adventure!

#3 (The Emotional Option): Rose & Crown Dining Room in the United Kingdom pavilion.

If you snag a reservation at around 7:30, ask the host or hostess if you and your daughter could have a table on the outside patio in order to celebrate her 21st birthday. From there, enjoy a leisurely 3-course meal that hopefully includes a pint or two along the way. By then, the time should be approaching the 9:00 hour, which is why I consider this to be the "emotional option."

From the outside patio, you get one of the best views of the "Illuminations: Reflections of Earth" performance. (Calling this a fireworks show is like calling creme brulee a pudding dessert.) Every time I watch this performance, I can't help but to get emotional.

(Since I'm a dude, let's just keep that between us friends.)

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

Regardless of where you have dinner, make sure the cast members know that you daughter is celebrating her birthday. You never know what special surprises may be in store!

    I hope that helps!

    Best regards,
    Derek
