My daughter wants to dress as Belle for her birthday in Magic Kingdom! If I purchase a Belle costume from a Disney Store or Disney Store.com are these Disney Park authentic? Or are there different princess costumes that can only be purchased in the parks?

    Hi Nicole,

The Disney Store and DisneyStore.com princess dresses are authentic, but they are not the exact same dresses that are sold in the parks. In my experience, the Disney Store costumes are made of lighter fabrics and are less ornate than the park dresses. The Disney Store dresses also typically cost about $20 less than the ones you'll find in the parks.

You should know that there is absolutely no requirement that princesses dresses worn in the parks be purchased in the parks. Disney Store dresses are fine, as are costumes purchased at online vendors such as buycostumes.com or at retail stores like Target or Walmart.  You could even have your daughter wear a home made costume if that's what suits your fancy.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
