My daughter and I want to come to Disney for the day. She just turned 8. We need the best deal possible..... single mom

Melody, your daughter is going to love her Mommy and Me trip! There's nothing better than one on one Walt Disney World trips with your kids- it's a great time to bond and be a kid for a day. Dole Whips for lunch? Sure!

My best friend is a single mom and goes to the Most Magical Place on Earth once a yEAR, so she gave me some budget-friendly tips. First of all, feel free to pack your own snacks and drinks. It's hard to pass up a good ole Mickey Pretzel, but prices can add up, and this is a great way to save. She also likes to eat at quick service restaurants which are the most affordable dining options at Walt Disney World. My favorites are Satu'li Canteen (for its healthy offerings) at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe at Magic Kingdom Park (where they have a huge Mexican toppings bar). If you have the My Disney Experience app, try Mobile Ordering your meals for a big time saver!

Another suggestion is to look into becoming a Disney Visa Cardmember. You earn 2% on purchases at your local grocery store, gas stations, and restaurants, which you put towards Rewards Dollars (these rewards can be redeemed on Disney Theme Park Tickets, merchandise, and dining). Plus, Cardmembers can save up to 10% on shopping and dining at select Disney Parks locations.

Florida residents are also entitled to discounts on theme park tickets. Currently, they are running an offer on Discover Disney 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets. Even though you're only planning a day trip, if you live close to the Parks and plan on taking an extra trip or two in the next few months, this may be a good deal. Call (407) 939-5277 for details.

Have a fantastic day at the Parks, Melody!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
