    Kimberly Asked

Hello! My daughter (6) and i are visiting Disney World in October for 6 days. I have heard there are certain days of the week that are better to visit certain parks. Can anyone tell me if they have found that is true, and if so, which parks/which days?

    Hi Kimberly,

The good news is that you are coming at a great time of the year in terms of weather and crowds, and even the most crowded days should not be anywhere near the peaks of summer or the Christmas holidays.

Weekends at all the parks that time of year are the busiest. That's when those of us who live nearby join the visitors from around the world to enjoy the Halloween decorations and the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

Expect Epcot to be especially busy on Saturday night and on Sunday afternoon during the festival..

Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are likely to be less crowded on the weekend. But if you have your heart set on beginning your visit at Magic Kingdom, I say go for it! Sundays often can be less crowded there, especially if you arrive early.

Once Monday rolls around, you should find lots of space inside all the parks. The independent website touringplans.com tracks attendance and makes crowd predictions. According to it, Monday, Tuesday and Friday that week should be a best time to visit Magic Kingdom. The site recommends seeing Hollywood Studios on Wednesday and Epcot on Thursday.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help you plan your trip. Enjoy your time with your daughter!
