My daughter will be turning 12 on Thanksgiving weekend. We are Passholders so we go frequently. Any suggestions on what to do different for her to make it special? I feel like even though we have yearly passes we miss out on a lot. Thanks for any tips,

    Hi there Clarissa,

The first thing that came to mind when I read this was Afternoon Tea.  The Grand Floridian Resort's Garden View Tearoom offers an authentic high tea in a relaxed but elegant setting!  You and your little lady could spend some quality time together while sipping teat from fine china and noshing on dainty finger sandwiches!  Reservations are strongly suggested, but it may be possible to "walk up" if you arrive a few minutes before 2 pm to check for cancellations.

My next pick for your daughter's special day would be a horse back riding expedition at Fort WIlderness. Embark on a 45-minute guided journey through the beautiful Florida "wilderness" which is sure to be an adventure your daughter will never forget!

Another fun idea considering her age, may be to spend an afternoon at Disney Quest, the interactive gaming center at Downtown Disney!  Here your entire family will enjoy exploring floor after floor of video games and activities.

Finally, consider wrapping up the day with a celebratory dinner at one of Disney's Signature Dining locations or perhaps a special Fireworks Cruise!  To order a custom cake be sure to contact the Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253.

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
