My daughter is turning 2 at the end of the month& I plan to take a day trip Disney. She loves Doc McStuffins &animals. I did the same thing with my older but we actually stayed the night at one of the resorts. How do I get the birthday button, etc?

    Greetings Sekayi!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to be celebrating your daughter's 2nd birthday with a trip to "The Most Magical Place on Earth!" I've always found Walt Disney World Resort to be the perfect vacation destination for a birthday celebration.

I'm pleased to report your 2-year-old little princess will not need to pay theme park admission since children under the age of 3 are considered Guests of Mickey Mouse. You'll also be happy to know that Guests can pick up a complimentary birthday button at Guest Relations inside any theme park. You don't have to be a Guest staying at a Disney Resort hotel to receive a complimentary celebration button. Your daughter will love all the birthday wishes she receives throughout the day.

If you plan to dine at a Table-Service restaurant on the day of your visit, consider ordering a specialty cake for the birthday girl. Specialty cakes can be delivered to select dining locations. I've been fortunate to experience the chocolate and white chocolate Mickey Mouse celebration cakes and highly recommend both.

If you've not done so already, check out the magical new experiences coming to Walt Disney World Resort in 2019. You've picked a great year to visit.

I hope this information has been helpful to you, Sekayi. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical birthday trip for your daughter!

    Happy Celebrating,
    Jodie
