My daughter will turn 7 on the last day of our trip. Are there any special ways to help celebrate or to eat that will give her a little attention? thanks!

    Hi Katherine,

We celebrated our daughter's seventh birthday at Walt Disney World a couple of years ago.  Let me tell you a few of the things that we did to make her day special.

Be sure to stop by Guest Relations at any of the Disney theme parks and get her a "Happy Birthday" button.  It will be truly magical to hear cast members and other guests alike wishing her a happy birthday all day long.  Although no extra magic is guaranteed, you never know when a little pixie dust will be sprinkled on her day.  I will never forget the look on my daughter's face when our server at The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom presented her with a giant cupcake after our meal!  Also, be sure to note on any reservations you are making - resort or dining - that you are celebrating her birthday.  Again, nothing is guaranteed, but you never know when a little extra magic may occur!

If you are interested in having a cake for her special day, you have a couple of options.  Most table service restaurants will have 6-inch cakes available.  You can simply ask for one when you arrive.  You can also call the Disney Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253.  Working with a cast member there, you can order a custom cake for your daughter.  We had a chocolate cake in the shape of Minnie Mouse's face delivered to our Walt Disney World resort for our daughter's birthday.  It was delicious!

Finally, I suggest that you look at Disney Floral and Gifts website.  The Dream Makers there can customize a gift for your daughter's special day.  Once you have perused the site, give them a call at 407-939-GIFT (407-939-4438) to customize a gift for her.

I would love to help you plan more Katherine; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
