Daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters 3 & 7, and myself to visit Disney World for 3 days. I’m a Florida resident. They’re not. What will park tickets cost. Not sure of where we would stay Thanks Mike

    Hi Mike,

It's always a pleasure to welcome a fellow Floridian to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm excited to help you start planning a magical vacation with your family.

First, let's talk about accommodations. A family suite at Art of Animation or Disney's All-Star Music resort could be just perfect for you. Each suite has a kitchenette, a separate master bedroom, fold-out or fold-down beds in the living area and, best of all, two full bathrooms.

At Art of Animation, the suites are themed based on the Disney classic films Cars, The Lion King or Finding Nemo. Another feature worth noting about Art of Animation: the new Skyliner transportation system carries guests from that resort directly to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

As a Florida resident, Mike, you are eligible for any special room discounts for Floridians offered for the time of your visit as long as you book the room and are a registered guest staying there.

You also are eligible for any Florida resident ticket discounts for that period. However, the discounts are only offered for adults who can show proof of Florida residency, so your daughter and son-in-law would need to pay the regular ticket prices.

It's hard to quote a ticket cost directly. Prices vary based on the time of year, the day of the week, how many days you are staying and whether you want to visit one park a day or hop from park to park. As a Florida resident, you also get a discount on annual passes and can take advantage of the opportunity to spread the cost of the annual pass over a year, interest-free.

You can explore all the options on the ticketing section of the Walt Disney World website. Once you have an idea of where you want to stay and the kind of tickets you want, I'd suggest you call the Walt Disney World reservation center at (407) 939-7679 to ask if there are any vacation packages or special offers that might fit your family's needs.

I hope that helps you get started, Mike. Please feel free to check back with us for more recommendations on dining, FastPass+, transportation and more.
