MY daughter is 8. For some reason she takes it as a personal insult if she has to order off kids menu. I see that she will be forced to using our dining plan.... can I upgrade just her dining package.. how much would it be?

I have three daughters who feel exactly the same way, so I understand your dilemma. The answer is yes, it is possible to upgrade her to the adult dining plan. However, in order to do so, you must also upgrade her park ticket to an adult ticket, if you are purchasing a vacation package. The exact cost of this will depend on the length of your stay.

As an example, if you purchase a 7 day child's base ticket, that is $270 (pricing 8/2012). A comparable adult ticket is $288. In ticket cost, that is an $18 difference.

A child's dining plan for 6 nights would be $90.12, while an adult dining plan would be $309.24. Obviously, this is where your biggest price difference lies, at $219.12. (Again, pricing as of 8/2012)

So for my 6-night, 7-day example, you would have to pay an additional $237.12. If her having adult menu choices is worth the price difference to you, then feel free to do so!

(Note: while a child can 'upgrade' to the adult plan which is intended for guests age 10 & over, an older guest cannot downgrade. If you wish to order from the child's menu you are free to do so, but you must pay the set price for your age group)

    Happy feasting!
