Hello, Jane,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The new
Disney Flex Passport is a great blend of value and flexibility in selecting dates to visit the parks of the Disneyland Resort. Your daughter is going to love it. And, of course, she'll continue to enjoy the many
benefits of being a Passholder.
Whether or not your daughter will be able to use her new Flex Passport on a blockout date depends on the status of her current
Annual Passport. If her
Disney Southern California Select Passport will have expired by the time she purchases the new Flex Passport, it would be considered a new Passport purchase, with a new down payment as opposed to a regular monthly payment with renewal. If that is the case, she would be eligible for an entry that same day, even on a reservation-only or
blockout date! When you purchase your Annual Passport at a Main Entrance ticket booth, I recommend taking your old Passport card with you. You’ll be able to connect the new Passport to that same card!
If your daughter’s Passport is not expired when she switches the next year to the Flex Passport, there is still another great option available this Summer. Through August 30, 2019, Annual Passholders may purchase a 1-day Park Hopper Ticket for only $99. Each
Passholder may purchase up to three of these special-priced tickets each day. And one of those tickets may even be used by the Passholder on a blockout day.
I hope your daughter enjoys having another wonderful year of magic at the Disneyland Resort. I love the convenience of linking my Annual Passport in the
Disneyland app for admission to the parks. The
Passholder discount is even applied automatically when using the app for
Mobile Food and Beverage Orders! For merchandise purchases in
Disneyland Resort shops, it's still important to have the Passholder card and ID to receive the Passholder discount.
Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah time, Jane!
