Christmas on Main Street

My daughter and I got to meet Moana last year at HS, and when we go back in November, Moana is ALL she wants to see... Are the rumors that she is now in Adventureland true? Will she at least be part of the Christmas party meet & greets?

    Aloha, Jamie!

Thanks for sailing to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question! Indeed, the stars guided Moana to Magic Kingdom Park last week. My family and I met her at Adventureland in front of the Jungle Cruise. However, that meeting took place during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Since this year's first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party won't happen until November 9, 2017, it's difficult to predict if Moana will be at that special event too. Nevertheless, I do suggest purchasing party tickets. The holiday party is a very popular event that can sell out quickly. On party nights, Magic Kingdom Park closes to regular-ticket holders at 7:00 p.m. I suggest arriving late afternoon or early evening. Last week Moana started meeting the special event party Guests around 5:45 p.m. So, keep that in mind if Moana shows up at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party too.

One remarkable trait that makes Moana so admirable is her free-spirit. There is no doubt that the sea calls out to her again and again. That's because she's a master wayfinder! So let's have faith that Moana will be at Magic Kingdom Park during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party too. Hopefully your daughter can "sea" Moana before she sails off on a new adventure.

Do keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for any official news about a more permanent Moana meet-and-greet location. One never knows when she might return from across the sea with Hei Hei to stay on land for a while.

Let's hope that Te Fiti grants your daughter's wish to meet Moana next month. That would be the true Power of Magic!
