My daughter loves Snow White but is scared to death of the Evil Queen. Is the Evil Queen or the Old Lady in the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Ride? Thank you

    Hi Joshua,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom Park has become one my family's favorite Attractions. Right from the start in the queue you will be drawn into the Mine with twirling buckets of gems that create projections on the ceiling. There's an interactive area where you can sort the gemstones as water drips to musical notes, and lots of other amazing architectural details. The coaster ride is smooth as it twists along the tracks in the swinging mine buckets. You're treated to the merry song of the Dwarfs as you "Heigh-Ho" your way through the diamond mine; a stunningly beautiful recreation of the mine from the Disney movie classic. The ride slows down just before it ends, and you can peer through the window of Snow White’s cottage to see a sweet scene of the Dwarfs and Snow White dancing. The Old Lady (Evil Witch) does make a brief appearance at the cottage door with her basket and apple in hand. I suggest that your daughter be seated on the Mine Train first, that way she will be on the outside of the mine bucket and not on the side that's closest to the Old Lady. If you prepare yourself for her appearance, you may be able to distract her so that she doesn't see her.

Guests must be 38 inches tall to ride this attraction. FastPass+ is available, and if you ride the attraction with a MagicBand and a linked Memory Maker you will have your photo and video automatically linked to your My Disney Experience account.

    Magical Wishes,
