My daughter would like to fly into MCO 1 day before our WDW package begins & stay near the airport; she's worried about weather delays. How would our doing that affect luggage pickup & getting to our resort? Better off to reserve room only at Pop o

    Hi Rochelle,

I recommend that you book a "Room Only" reservation at either Pop Century or one of the All-Star Resorts. If you choose to stay in one of the other resorts near Walt Disney World, you will find yourself paying for a cab the next day to transport your luggage. When my family chose this scenario one time after a Disney Cruise, we quickly regretted it. The area hotels will often have complimentary shuttles from the airport to their resort and some will even bring you to the parks. However, they go to set drop-off areas and won't bring you door-to-door to your new hotel with your luggage. You would need a cab for that. Since you can often reserve a Value resort room for around $85 (depending on special offers), that would be your best bet. The next morning, you'll simply ask Bell Services to transfer your luggage to your new resort for you. Then you can head out and enjoy the parks. At the end of the day, hop on a bus, monorail or boat (depending on where you are staying) bound for your new resort. Your luggage will be waiting for you when you get there! Easy!

Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation with your daughter!
