I have a daughter that has a feeding tube, and eats 4-6 bites a meal. My question for dining at Teppan Edo or character dining can I just get her an appetizers or add ons to my meal or will she have to have entire meal.

    Hi Julie,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question! When making your Advanced Dining Reservations, be sure to include your daughter in the headcount, so that they reserve the correct size table for your family. If you call to make your reservations (as opposed to booking online), you can ask the Cast Member to make a notation about her feeding tube. Once you arrive at the various restaurants, you can ask to speak directly with the manager and explain her medical situation to them. There is no guarantee that they won't charge you for your daughter, but I am confident that they will make some sort of concession. I have several friends who have children in similar situations, and the majority of the time at Character Dining buffets, their child was considered a "infant / toddler" for billing purposes (regardless of their age). Essentially what this means is that they were allowed to eat off of their parents plate, and weren't charged. In my experience, I have seen that Disney handles guests with disabilities or special medical circumstances exceptionally well. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised in regards to your daughter.

    Wishing you magical memories,

    Kaylene
