My daughter got a Disneyland ticket as a gift from a relative in LA, do they need to go to the park with her to show proof of residency? If so can we pay the difference at the booth?

Greetings Michelle. Thank you for taking the time to stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It is so magical for your daughter to be gifted a ticket to Disneyland. There is no need for your relative in Los Angeles to show proof of residency at the gate. The proof of Southern California residency is only required at the time of purchase for the SoCal Resident Flex Ticket.

I spoke with two separate Cast Members at the Tickets department and was reassured that your relative does not need to physically be there at the gate to show proof of residency, so long as the tickets have already been purchased by him/her. Please be aware the current promotion for Southern California resident is valid through May 26, 2016 with blackout dates March 20 through April 2, 2016.

If you encounter any issues at all, Cast Members will be happy to assist you at Guest Services.

I hope this information helps in planning your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
    Have a magical day,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
