My daughter has Celiac disease...is there a list of which restaurants she can find gluton free food at?

    Cheryl:

The restaurants at Disney have got to be the most accommodating for specialized diets of any I know. Whether you're dining at a table-service restaurant or getting counter service, I think you'll be pleased with the amount of information you can glean for your meal.

If you're dining at a counter-service restaurant, ask for the "ingredient book," an extensive book kept behind the counter that contains the ingredients in every item listed on the menu. From there, you can make an educated dining decision for your daughter.

If you are planning on dining at a table restaurant, my suggestion is to let Disney know of her disease when making the reservation so that they can plan ahead.  Even though Disney says these requests must be noted in advance when you make your reservation, I've found that you can simply let the wait-staff know and, many times, you'll find that the restaurant's chef will talk to your personally about foods suitable for her.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
