My daughter and I will be celebrating her college graduation/passing a board exam and my 50th birthday at WDW. We are arriving March 3. I'm curious what the weather would be like the first 2 weeks of March?

Hello, Cecilia! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations to your daughter on those big milestones - and Happy Birthday to you! What a great idea to travel to Walt Disney World to celebrate these happy occasions.

Winter weather in Florida can be wildly unpredictable, I'm afraid. Put it this way: last year I wore shorts and a tank top to the beach for my birthday in January, and then had to wear my heavy wool coat to Walt Disney World on my son's birthday in early March! The best advice I can give you right now is to keep an eye on the forecast a few days before you're set to leave. If it's not going to be really cold, you can get away with lighter clothes that you can layer for cooler mornings and warmer afternoons. I have a little black sweater I can toss into a backpack or large purse that goes everywhere with me. I think that will get you through our weird, wonderful Florida weather.

By the way, be sure to pick up your celebration buttons when you arrive. You might get some extra pixie dust for your special visit!

I hope you and your daughter have a magical time, Cecilia. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
