    Amanda from AZ Asked

Is there a date for when the Christmas decorations are coming down in early January? We are planning a trip in the beginning of January, we are thinking the first week or second week of January.

Hello, Amanda! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question. A big high-five for getting started on your vacation planning early!

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will run from November 10, 2017, through January 7, 2018. So, if you are planning for that first week of January, then all the sparkling decor will still be up around the parks and the special holiday entertainment and attractions like "it's a small world" Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday will still be in operation. After the 7th, the decorations will start to come down in phases, so depending on when you would arrive during the second week of the month, you may get a glimpse or two of some holiday decor. Additionally, after January 7, the aforementioned attractions will close for refurbishment so the holiday overlays can be removed.

Also as you continue to plan, make sure to research vacation packages at the Disneyland Resort Hotels or Good Neighbor Hotels. These allow you book your hotel accommodations and theme park tickets together and even offers the option to pre-pay for character meals. I also recommend that you keep your eye on the Offers & Discounts page to see if an offer becomes available for your travel dates. Although, if you book now and a discount later becomes available that applies to your travel dates and accommodations, you can usually apply that deal to your previously-booked package.

Have a fabulous time at the Happiest Place on Earth this coming January!
