How does the DAS pass work? My son has sensory processing disorder and I was told that he could possibly qualify for it.

Hi Megan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Can you believe that you will be arriving for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation in just TWO days?! Fall is a wonderful time of year to visit and I know your family will have a wonderful trip!

The Disability Access Service (DAS) is a great program designed for Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional queue line because of a disability. The DAS card is obtained by visiting Guest Relations by the main entrance of any of the four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once a Guest has a DAS card, they simply approach the attraction they are wanting to ride and get a return time for that attraction. This helps avoid the long wait times in the Stand By queue line. Once that return time is used, another can be received.

I recommend going to Guest Relations as soon as you arrive at the theme parks on your first day and asking them about the DAS card. You will need to go through the registration process to receive a DAS card once, but then it should be valid for the rest of your trip (up to 14 days). The Cast Member assisting you will be happy to explain any details of the program that you might need additional help with!

I hope you have a magical stay, Megan! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
