My daredevil daughter will be 6yo going on 7 at the time of her first trip to Disney World. My worry is that she is very small for her age, and I am wondering if she would be able to ride a lot of the rides? Is there a usual height restriction for rides?

Hello, Andrea! Most of the rides at the Walt Disney World Resort are appropriate for the entire family, but some rides have height restrictions that you should familiarize yourself with as you start planning your adventure. I've included a list of the current height recommendations for those rides to help you with your planning.

At Magic Kingdom Park, Guests must be:
    • 32" or taller to ride Tomorrowland Speedway
    • 35"+ to ride The Barnstormer
    • 38"+ to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
    • 40"+ to ride Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Stitch's Great Escape
    • 44"+ to ride Space Mountain

At Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Guests must be:

    • 38"+ to ride Kali River Rapids
    • 40"+ to ride DINOSAUR
    • 44"+ to ride Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
    • 48"+ to ride Primeval Whirl

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Guests must be:

    • 40"+ to ride Star Tours - The Adventures Continue and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
    • 48"+ to ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

    At Epcot, Guests must be:

    • 40"+ to ride Soarin' and Test Track

All other rides and attractions are available for Guests of any height.

I'm sure that you and your daughter will find lots of fun and exciting rides to experience on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to write back in to the Moms Panel. We'd love to hEAR from you, Andrea!
