Hi Moms and Dads!My daughter uses a scooter. Where is the best spot for her and I to view MSEP/Wishes, Iluminations after our 545 ADR at Via Napoli, and Fantasmic? How early should we get there for each? Our trip is for early May.

    Hi Charlene,

With your daughter in a scooter, you can use the special areas for for Guest with Disabilities. These areas are marked on the park maps.  At Epcot to view Illuminations, there are four areas:  two are next to the boat launches, one between Canada and the United Kingdom, and another at Germany (closest to Via Napoli).  These are basically first come, so I'd try to arrive as early as one hour before Illuminations, which is scheduled at 9:00 pm. I would encourage you to check the wind because you don't want to pick a spot where smoke will be blowing into your face/eyes. Another nice thing about being in the back of the park is that a large portion of the crowd will leave before you making it much easier to leave.  It can be a very pleasant experience slowly making your way out of the World Showcase on a spring evening.

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, there will be seating for Guest with Disabilities, too.  Seating for Fantasmic! will open 90 minutes prior to the show, so you could arrive as early as that.  With your visiting in early May, the crowds shouldn't be overly huge, so I think you should be okay arriving within an hour of the show. I looked at the May calendar, and it appears that Fantasmic! is currently scheduled for 9:00 pm, by the way. I don't know if you know about the Fantasmic! Dining Packages, but these are a fun way to combine dining with the attraction.

Thank you for the question; please let us know if we can help again.  Have a wonderful trip!
