Hello! Me and my dad will go to WDW this June. I'm in a wheelchair and might need DAS. Concerning FP+ for MK attractions, which ones are inaccessible by standard/FP queue (due to stairs etc)? I would like to make the most out of FP+ and the DAS.

    Hi Steffany,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How lovely to be in the midst of planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort with your dad!

The Disability Access Service is a terrific service offered to guests who cannot withstand a traditional line queue. Since my husband has mobility challenges, we have used the Disability Access Service and it has allowed him to fully participate in our park experiences. When you arrive to your first theme park, just stop by Guest Relations and register for the service. Once you are registered, they will allow your father to ride with you.

To use the service, approach a cast member at the entrance to an attraction, explain that you have the disability access service and request a return time for the ride. Although your father can request the return time, when you do return, you will need to scan in for the ride first. The great news is that you can use the Disability Access Service along with Fast Pass+. We always make our Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance since we stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel on each visit. Then, when we arrive to the parks, we use the Disability Access service as well. We also make sure that we make advanced dining reservations to minimize the wait time to eat!

Steffany, there are some rides that require guests to be able to walk to actually board the ride. Review the services for guests with mobility disabilities to determine which rides require guests to be ambulatory. Both Peter Pan's Flight and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, for example, have a moving platform that guests must traverse to board the ride.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
