Hello...We currently have a vacation package to Disney Dec15-22 2015 ...dining plan...magic bands and fast passes already set up....We are wondering if it is possible to add another family member to our vacation...please let me know....thanks

    Hi Shawn,

Let the countdown begin to your Walt Disney World vacation!  How exciting!

If you booked your package directly with Disney, you can add someone up until 3 days before you arrive.  From a budget perspective, it's always better to add a person than to remove them.  Changes made within 45 days of arrival (or 30 days for 2016 reservations) are subject to a $50 change fee and a $15 processing fee, though the change fee is waived if your package price is increasing.  I'm not sure how many people are in your group, but keep in mind that many rooms can accommodate no more than 4 people.

Since you're so close to your arrival date, you will not have time to customize a MagicBand for the additional Guest, but there will be one waiting at the front desk when you check in.

In terms of your dining reservations and FastPass+ selections, adding a person is a bit more challenging.  The dining reservation system can't easily add a person to an existing reservation, so the only way to guarantee seating for everyone is to make a new reservation and then cancel the old one. Always be sure to keep your original reservation until you have a new one secured, just in case there is limited availability. If you're not able to get new reservations, I'd recommend keeping the original ones and letting the restaurant know when you check in that you have an additional person.  While I can't guarantee they'll be able to accommodate you, it's been my experience that they'll do their best. For FastPass+, once the reservation has been updated and the person has their My Disney Experience account set up, just link them to your My Family & Friends list.  You can then update the Guests on your FastPass+ selections and copy those over, if there is availability.

I hope that helps, Shawn, and wishing you a magical vacation!
