We are currently in the process of planning a trip but haven't determined the exact time of year. We have visited many times before, so this time, we are looking for some recommendations for your favorite Epcot festival or MK event.

Hi there, Amy! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Nothing brings me more joy than planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort for my family and I. There are some very special events that I plan my trips around each year!

EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is usually held between March through June each year (dates are always subject to change so keep a lookout for date announcements). EPCOT is transformed into a bright colorful world with millions of spring blossoms. Take it from someone who is allergic to everything in nature, it is worth experiencing! My entire day is planned around the outdoor kitchen booths and the delectable treats I’ll be indulging in. Last year I tried the Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake with Orange Blossom Honey Ice Cream and Fennel Pollen Meringue Flower Garnish at The Honey Bee-stro Booth and dreamt about it since. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I saw it was back this year! You will also find gorgeous Disney themed topiaries of your favorite characters! I was squealing like a kid when I saw Remy from Ratatouille and Kermit the Frog! The Garden Rocks Concert Series are wonderful and full of different genres; you’re sure to find an artist or four that you really enjoy! I always enjoy strolling along at EPCOT, but this festival makes it even better!

If you’re looking to go later in the year, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is my absolute favorite extra ticketed event at Magic Kingdom Park! This spook-tacular celebration is so close to my heart; it’s where adults and children alike can dress up as their favorite characters, collect treats around the Park, watch special fireworks, and more! This year, dates were announced to run from select nights in late summer to fall! With valid Theme Park admission, you may enter the Park at 4 p.m. for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and you are able to reserve FastPass+ selections up until 7 p.m. when the party officially begins. There are no FastPasses during the party. It’s also the home to my favorite parade in all of Disney: Boo-to-You Parade. I try to catch both showings! Get ready to sing the parade's catchy theme song over and over!

If you’re thinking about going during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, you’re in luck! During late summer to fall time, you can catch another popular festival: EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Gourmet dining booths offering tastes and sips are scattered throughout the World Showcase, and you can even partake in seminars of specialty dining and pairing events!

Amy, I hope I’ve helped you narrow down the dates for your vacation; but if I’m being honest, anytime is the best time to go to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
