I am currently planning a surprise trip for my son & me for next year. I am planning to pay out of pocket for our meals, this means we could share a meal from the adult menu or I could possibly order an appetizer as a meal is this correct?

    Welcome home, Rachel!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We are always here to help answer your questions!

Planning a surprise trip for your son sounds absolutely magical. I am sure he will be thrilled to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Have you checked out our 'Vacation Planning' page? I am sure you will find a vast amount of great tips, tricks and ideas for your upcoming vacation.

You can absolutely share a meal at quick-service and table service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. I do this with my 4 year-old daughter often. You may also order an appetizer as a meal if you wish to do so. My daughter and I love to split the Ribs and Chicken Combo at Flame Tree Barbecue in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.  We also find that the Barbecue Slaw Dog at Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom Park is large enough to split between the two of us.

Rachel, I wish you a wonderful vacation. If you have any other questions, please come visit us on the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. We would love to help you plan a practically perfect vacation for you and your son!

    See ya real soon,
