I am currently planning a Disney World vacation for my daughters 4th birthday. This is our 1st Disney trip. What are some tips/tricks? What rides would be best for a 4 year old? Lastly, what would you suggest to make this the best birthday possible?

    Hi Sabrina,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the rest of the gang will be thrilled to welcome your daughter to the Walt Disney World Resort for her first visit. They are also very good at celebrating birthdays!

First, do what you are doing and plan. Book a vacation package with a resort hotel and theme park tickets. Consider a dining plan as well. Then start planning your advanced dining reservations, especially for character dining experiences. Some of our girls' favorite character experiences when they were about that age were Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare and Hollywood & Vine.

With a 4-year old, I also suggest making Fast Pass+ selections for rides that she can experience. Be sure to check the attractions list, filter by theme park and then decide which attractions she can ride based on the height requirement. At that age, our girls loved The Barnstormer, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mad Tea Party and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I would also recommend getting Memory Maker so that you can access all of your digital photos and attraction videos. Our favorite video is from the Tower of Terror. We always look terrified!

Sabrina, if you want to do a special activity with her, consider one from the Enchanting Extras Collection. We love doing Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room. Also, consider ordering one of the Cakes at Walt Disney World Resort!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
