There are currently no advance reservations available for Chef Mickey's when we are in WDW, week of Nov 9-13th. I was wondering if we did a walk up reservation for dinner, what would be the best time to go? Would concierge be able to get us a reservation?

    Hi Katherine!

My rule of thumb is: it never hurts to ask for a last-minute dining reservation! Cancellations and changes occur all the time, so its a good idea to check with both the resort concierge and/or to try for a walk-up reservation.

With walk-up reservations, there are two good times to go: the first dinner seatings, and at the end of the night. Of the two, you'll most likely have more luck with an early dinner time (say, showing up at 3:45p for a 4:00p dinner). Just let the cast member know that you're hoping for some extra pixie dust and maybe they have an opening when they can fit you in. I've also found that it helps to let them know that you're willing to wait a bit to be seated (but only, if, in fact you are willing to wait a bit).

I hope you have good luck!
