We are currently looking into doing a cruise in Feb. 2016 on the Fantasy and we aren't too sure about the dinning options. Is there a way to not do the rotational dinning and still be able to get something other than burgers and fries?

    Ahoy, Shelly!

How exciting that you are planning a cruise on the amazing Disney Fantasy in February! One of my favorite things about a Disney cruise is the rotational dining. It is a treat to have the same servers for each night of my cruise. It's also great to see the different dining rooms but have a familiar face there to bring our food and make recommendations. I encourage you to give the dining rooms a try.

If you find that you don't enjoy the rotational dining options, never fear, you will definitely be able to eat food besides burgers and fries (although, the Disney Cruise Line French Fries are awesome!). You can order food directly to your room and enjoy dinner on your verandah through room service. There are typically items on the room service menu that are not found anywhere else on the ship.

You also can visit Cabanas, on Deck 11, which is a buffet for breakfast and lunch, but turns into a sit-down restaurant for dinner. Many of the options available in the main dining rooms will be available here for dinner.

If you decide to splurge a time or two on your cruise, you can reserve to dine in Palo or Remy. These restaurants are adults-only and there is a charge to enjoy your dinner there. Palo has an Italian theme, while Remy is fine French cuisine.

Should you decide you DO want a burger, visit the quick service dining options around the pool deck. You can also have chicken fingers, pizza, wraps and ice cream in this area.

All in all, you will NOT starve on a Disney Cruise.

Happy Cruising (and Eating!), Tracy V.
