    Melanie Asked

I am currently in adult education classes for my degree and wondered if there is wireless internet on the ship. Unfortunately I will need to do some homework in the evenings.

Welcome aboard, Melanie! One of my favorite parts of sailing with Disney is that I get to escape the real world and leave behind my internet access! When else can we really do that? That being said, I completely understand the need to log on for school or business while at sea. My husband has to do that occasionally when we sail too. But aren't we fortunate that today we can connect to the internet even in the middle of the ocean?

Disney Cruise Line does have WiFi onboard the ships, making it convenient for guests to check in with work online when need be. There is a cost for this access, and guests can buy packages of minutes for their use onboard. You can read about the details of the costs on the Internet and Phone Services page of Disney Cruise Line's website.

It's easy to log on, but keep in mind that the connection is not quite as fast to what you're probably used to at home, so I'd suggest doing as much work ahead of time offline then logging on to upload or download once you're prepared. This will save you some of those precious WiFi minutes.

I hope that helps, Melanie. Even though I'm sure you'd rather leave it all behind while you're cruising, I bet you'll be glad that even though you have to do some work here and there, you can do it while enjoying one very magical cruise with Captain Mickey and his gang! Please let me know if I can help with anything else as you continue to plan!
