Just curious - We have tickets for MVMCP 11/15. I know Florida weather is unpredictable - do the hard ticket events ever get cancelled due to rain? I know the tickets are not refundable, so what happens if it is rained out? You all are a huge help! Thx!

    Hi Susan,

The hard ticket parties go on, even in the rain. Several of the Moms have been to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween parties in torrential downpours. If there is severe rain during MVMCP, the parade and/or fireworks might be cancelled, but the party would go on. In this situation, tickets are non-refundable.

Of course Disney does have guest safety at top of mind. On very, very rare occasion, the theme parks will shut down entirely due to extreme weather conditions. If this were to happen on a MVMCP day, then the party would be cancelled. My guess is that if this were to happen, then guests would be offered tickets for another evening. But truly, I'm not sure because, to the best of my knowledge, this has never happened.

I do know of one situation where Disney cancelled a MNSSHP for non-weather-related reasons. Guests were offered the choice of a refund or rebooking on another evening.

Due to the possibility of weather impacting their enjoyment of the party, some guests choose to wait until less than a week or so in advance to purchase tickets. This allows you to get a better handle on the forecast. The down side to this is that the party you'd like to go to may sell out. You just have do decide how risk averse you are about having rain during the party.
