Are there any culinary tours for guests at Disney? My son is a budding chef and he would love that. Thank you

    Hi Terri,

Welcome back! Walt Disney World and amazing dining experiences go together like, well, Mickey and Minnie, so I think you'll find lots to keep your son happy during your trip.

When I read your question, I immediately thought of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Not only is the resort stunning, but it is also home to two of my favorite restaurants: Jiko-The Cooking Place and Boma-Flavors of Africa. Culinary Tours are often available for Guests who are interested in learning about the history and cuisine of both of those African-inspired dining spots. Tours are led by Cultural Representatives and usually begin daily around 3:45 p.m. Schedules are always subject to change, so I'd recommend having your concierge confirm details for you when you check in. And I've saved the best part for last...this Culinary Tour is free!

While we're on the topic of dining, why not plan an evening at one of Disney's unique dining locations as a special treat for your son? You could dine at the top of Disney's Contemporary Resort with Cinderella Castle as the backdrop at California Grill, watch animals roam on the savannah just outside the window at Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge or enjoy a multi-course Mediterranean dinner where you can meet the chef during your meal at Cítricos Chef's Domain.

Savor every last moment (and morsel) of your visit, Terri!
