Hi! Cruising the Western Med in June and have a question. What does a 3 y/o boy wear on formal night? He does not have black dress pants, etc. Would khaki pants with a button down be ok? Also, is he ok to wear dressy khaki shorts on other nights?

    Hi, Andrea!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line!  For the youngest guests, the dress code may not be as formal as that of older children through adults. Somehow, dress shorts on a grown man seems so much more casual than on a small child. Therefore, I think that it would be perfectly acceptable for a young boy to wear pressed khaki pants and a nice buttoned-down shirt on a formal night.

For my youngest boys this summer, the 11-year-old is going to wear khaki pants, a white collared shirt, a tie and a sport coat for formal night -- but my 7-year-old is wearing just khakis and a button down. We're requiring my 16-year-old son to wear what adults do since he is as big as an adult and will need to "look the part." I hope that I've helped you plan and eased your concerns.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
