We'll be cruising on Disney Dream. My daughter has dairy, egg and nut allergies. She drinks Silk Original Soy Milk. Should I plan to bring this myself or will the ship provide this? How can I find out about food that will be safe for her to eat?

Welcome aboard, Cathy! When guests set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew, Disney does a wonderful job at assisting with any special food needs for families with allergies. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the fabulous service you'll receive in this regard!

If you haven't already, please be sure to call your travel agent, or the agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to make note on your reservation about your daughter's allergies. This information is given to your dining service team so they are prepared when your daughter arrives. You can also contact the special services team if these allergies are very severe. They can discuss with you the specifics of how they'll handle food requests for your daughter.

Soy Milk is available onboard, so she'll be all set there. Disney Cruise Line suggests that guests with food allergies plan to eat all of their meals in the table service restaurants, as opposed to the buffet or quick service spots. The kitchens in these table service restaurants are better equipped to handle special food allergy needs.

I hope that gives you a bit more information about dining with allergies onboard, and again, the folks at Disney Cruise Line and the special services team are there to help with more specifics for your daughter's needs when you sail!

    Have a fabulous cruise, Cathy!
