We are cruising on a 7day Star Wars cruise in March 2017. I see there is a formal night. Do most people dress up that night, or is it optional? Are there picture opportunities that night that are not available on other nights?

    Ahoy, Michele!

Your epic adventure on the Disney Fantasy is just about a month away! So May the Force Be With You as you count down the final days until your galactic voyage that features a Stars Wars Day at Sea extravaganza!

Day Two, which is a sea day, is typically the formal night aboard the Disney Fantasy (always subject to change). Mickey will look dapper in his bow tie while Minnie will dazzle in her ball gown, but it will be up to you on how fancy you'll be on this most formal night of vacation. There will be men and boys in tuxedos and suits or just a nice pair of slacks and collared shirts. You'll see ladies in full-length gowns, cocktail dresses, pant suits or nice sundresses so you can expect a wide variety. It has been my experience on past cruises that most people do dress-up. The opportunity for photos is one reason that my family likes to dress up as do many other Guests. Although there will be pictures each night by photographers from Shutters, there is just something special about a photo with everyone dressed their best with a beautiful backdrop. There will be several background options around the Grand Lobby Atrium on this evening as well as pictures with the characters is their finest attire. Usually the photographers make their way into the main dining rooms for pictures at your dining table. You'll want to check your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, for the times and locations and leave yourself enough time in case you want to take photos with multiple backgrounds.

I hope I've steered you in the first direction, Michele! If you have any other questions, you know where to find us!
